Improved Delivery Time for the PrimeFeederANDRITZ Küsters has made a significant reduction in delivery time in their popular Prime Feeder web handling system.  A re-design of the system using standardized aluminum components has allowed the designers to produce a system that is more compact and that can be manufactured in a shorter time.  The shorter delivery time gets the increased machine efficiency due to the Prime Feeder quicker to the customer, thus giving a fast return on investment – shorter than 3 months on average.  Obviously, these are key reasons that the Prime Feeder system is winning over new customers. 

Another important reason for the quick market success is that each project includes a thorough trial phase under simulated production conditions at the Krefeld Technical Centre, using the customer’s own paper. This way systems are provided which are well prepared for commissioning and which, logically, translates into accelerated start-up curves. Equally as important is the contribution to work safety. All processes in threading areas are controlled from the outside via hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders eliminating hazards to the operators.  The control can be added to ANDRITZ Küsters’ own MultiMaster system for integrated calender and threader control. Customers get an optimum threading solution with maximum operation and production safety.
