Prime Feeder for Stora Enso and Mayer-MelnhofEarly this year two more PrimeFeeder web handling systems from the house of ANDRITZ Küsters were successfully commissioned. Whereas in Fors in Sweden the system is used for the transportation of the web between the dry section and the calender, the project at MM-Karton in Neuss encompasses several systems extending over the entire installation. Both machines, in Fors as well as in Neuss, produce cardboard. In accordance with the PrimeFeeder, the shear technology is employed to allow for processing grammages of up to 600 g/m².
StoraEnso as well as MM-Karton are already benefitting from the re-engineered construction currently working with aluminium profiles, stainless steel components, and with flange motors. The compact design and sealing of the movable parts results in a construction with an extremely low need for maintenance and has already proved its value in Fors and Neuss.
