The Andritz Küsters Highlights regarding ITMA Asia / CITME 2008Hall E1, Stand A22 in the German PavilionAndritz Küsters is presenting a cross section of their product and service offer in the German Pavilion at the ITMA Asia / CITME 2008 in Shanghai from 27 to 31 July 2008. This encompasses leading calender technology for nonwovens and textile, as well as the latest developments in wetlaid technology and wet finishing of nonwovens.
“Our unique range in calender technology is a decisive factor for our customers in the textile industry“, explains Andreas Lukas, Vice President Andritz Küsters as regards the consistent success of the Andritz Küsters textile calenders. “Worldwide we are the only enterprise which offers two technologies of deflection-controlled rolls: the Swimming Roll S-Roll and the piston-supported HyCon Roll. Every customer gets precisely the individual technology his product needs!”
With a maximum line force of 400 N/mm the teXcal s-roll sets new benchmarks for technical textiles. Special applications, such as parachute silk or upmarket outdoor wear demand a defined remote air permeability. The teXcal s-roll with its deflection compensation and its surface technology which is particularly adapted to the product achieves the best compacting results already in one passage.
The neXcal twin is the special highlight of the Andritz Küsters calender programme for the nonwovens industry. It exemplifies highest flexibility and cost efficiency and is the new standard in the high performance production of nonwovens.
In the meantime the enterprise from Krefeld goes a step beyond its reputation as calender experts and has made a name for itself in the wet finishing of nonwovens, too. Latest success story: Winner of the Index Award in Geneva with the neXdetect innovative measuring technology.
“Functionalised textiles and nonwovens are gaining importance the world over. This is why our kiss roll technology neXkiss for one-sided low add-on application has aroused great interest in the Asian market, too”, says Lukas.
In particular the neXkiss twin with two movable liquor troughs stands for highest production flexibility. This way, for example, the change from standard hydrophilic to permanent hydrophilic can take place within minutes and reduces down times to a minimum.
With the padder technology neXchem, too, Andritz Küsters is keeping a sharp eye on the demands being raised by the nonwovens industry: 120 N/mm maximum line force and a speed of up to 200 m/min.
The Andritz Küsters product range is rounded off by the wetlaid technology. Wetlaid nonwovens find their use in practically every industrial area. The development of new high-tech fibres and the re-discovery of natural fibres as modern construction materials constantly open new niche markets. The use of aramid fibres for insulation is just one example.
This year the Andritz Küsters Nonwoven Technical Centre was extended to include a wetlaid laboratory range. This offers not just basic research, but also individual product development on customer request.
