Hot S-Roll - the Heart of the  Nonwoven Calender Technology

ANDRITZ Küsters  nonwoven calenders are equipped with Hot S-Roll. These "Swimming Rolls Küsters"® with a roll surface temperature of up to 275° C were designed especially for the nonwoven industry with line speeds of up to 1000 m/min and, contrary to traditional rolls, are deflection controlled.

Be it a spunbonding, airlaid, wetlaid or caring line - depending on fibre blend, speed and final application ANDRITZ Küsters offers different  concepts.
Calenders with two, three or more rolls in vertical or horizontal design, according to the process demands, are part of the standard program. Flexible machine concepts which are created for a wide variety of products and for use in the high-speed range stand for a drastic reduction in the set-up times in case of pattern or process change. Due to their open design all calenders are easily accessible and permit maintenance during running production.
