texcal s-roll - Trademark with Tradition

More than 50 years ago Eduard Küsters developed the world's first deflection controlled roll: the Swimming Roll Küsters® (S-Roll). The S-Roll is continuously adapted and optimised in line with the technical developments to meet the needs of the market. The successful basis concept, however, remains unchanged and still is a core area of the technical expertise of Andritz Küsters.

texcal s-roll calenders offer a high degree of flexibility, especially not just due to the infinitely adjustable line force, but also in fabric width and because of the quick and simple sleeve change.
Effects like gloss, high gloss, smoothness and density are possible with the texcal s-roll, just as micro, flat and relief embossing.

texcal hycon- Calender with Hydrostatical Deflection Control

Worldwide Andritz Küsters is the only enterprise to have two different deflection controlled roll technologies in their programme.
In addition to the S-Roll technology the piston supported HyCon technology represents an interesting alternative for frequent changes between wide and narrow webs, or if two different effects are to be produced in one passage of fabric. The HyCon technology stands for special flexibility in the production.
 
In the vertical arrangement of the piston supported rolls in the texcal hyconeffects, such as gloss, high gloss, smoothness, density or micro embossing, can be achieved.

Due to the L-shaped arrangement of the rolls, the texcal hycon l allows for two very different line forces in the top and in the rear nip, which can be infinitely adjusted independently of each other. Thus two different effects can be achieved in one passage of the fabric, e.g. density and high gloss in one nip and excellent handle in the soft nip.
